Velocity RX is a medically engineered pitching system created by Dr. Kevin McGovern, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength & Conditioning Coach with 31 years of experience fixing broken arms. We use medical-grade movement testing to identify and eliminate the true mechanical flaws that cause elbow and shoulder injuries — long before they turn into pain, shutdowns, or surgery.
We correct the dangerous mechanics that lead to UCL tears, shoulder breakdown, and overuse injuries.
If a pitcher is already injured or in pain, we rebuild their mechanics from the ground up and get them throwing pain-free again.
We develop durable pitchers who stay healthy in-season, off-season, and every season after.
Most pitchers get injured because of three mechanical flaws — Drift, Drag, and Shrug. Together, these flaws overload the elbow and shoulder until something breaks.
Early forward movement that destroys timing and overloads the arm.
A stuck back leg forces the torso to twist against resistance, increasing elbow torque.
Upper-trap dominance shuts off the muscles responsible for safe arm movement.
Velocity RX eliminates these flaws and replaces them with medically correct movement patterns that protect the arm and unlock effortless velocity.
Every year, thousands of young pitchers suffer avoidable injuries. Poor movement patterns, flawed coaching, and outdated training methods fail our athletes.
The Velocity RX Movement was created to change that. Founded by Dr. Kevin McGovern, PT, a nationally recognized physical therapist and movement expert, this program delivers medically backed, science-based training to prevent injury, increase velocity, and build better athletes.
